Cocoa Party

Sunday afternoon we decided to make cupcakes so Ani could use her cake decorating kit. We had some extra batter so we made a small pie cake. I told Ani she could give her cake to anyone she wanted. She decided to invite some friends over after school and have a cocoa party. They dressed up as princesses and one prince, were pampered by their royal beautician, and sat down for princess soup (mac and cheese), princess punch (orange julius), and dessert.
Princess Andison

Jared came home for lunch to be the princesses' royal waiter. The girls got a real kick out of it!

Even King Corbin (as named by the girls) was invited to participate in the cocoa party as he sat on his royal throne.

Caldwell Greenbelt

With a need to get out of the house, we went for a walk on the Caldwell Greenbelt. The walk did not last terribly long, but they had lots of fun climbing on the trees.

Ever since the girls received scooters from their great-grandma for Christmas they have been wanting to take them out somewhere with more room than our driveway.

Snowmen

Ani and Campbell were so excited to finally have sticky snow to make snowmen. They made these snowmen all by themselves! Go girls!

BRRRR

Corbin wanted to help Jared take down the Christmas lights, but he wasn't dressed for the occasion. He lasted a couple of minutes before he came running back inside.

Christmas Morning Highlights

" Jumping Monkeys" was a hit - especially when I beat Jared!

It was our goal this year to get Corbin toys geared for a little boy. He is surrounded by babies, pollies, dishes, princesses, etc... We were successful, with the help of extended family!

Ani and Mommy tied this blanket for Corbin. He loved it from the moment he opened it. Just as a side note - Corbin moved from his crib to a toddler bed this week. With the exception of falling out of it once it has been a pretty good transition.

The only item that remained consistent on Campbell's Christmas list was a big ball. We ended up getting a hoppety hop. She was very pleased as was Andison. Thanks Susan!

Camping in November

We decided at the last minute to go camping/bird hunting in the Owyhee's.
Beautiful Sunrise!
Kendra, Campbell, and Andison at the top of the cool rock mountain.

Doc trying to keep warm!

At the end of our camping trip it started to snow - Brrr!

Corbin's Stitches

Corbin was standing on a dining room chair when he pushed a little too hard knocking the chair over. His chin hit the floor splitting it wide, and I mean wide open. He cried for about 5 minutes and then he wanted to get down and play. Corbin received 7 stitches. The biggest trama came when they had to tie him down to put in the stitches. I forgot to take a pictures of the stictches, but here is the scar the day after they were taken out. Thanks for all the help Natalie, Jen, Burt, and Mom!
